Hi, I'm Ayush Satyam — a Software Engineer, Tinkerer, and Explorer at heart. Currently, I work at Red Hat as a Software Engineer II, where I get to build, understand and tinker with systems every day.

Nothing excites me more than diving one level deeper than I'm "supposed to" — whether it's databases, file systems, compilers, networking, or distributed systems (where the real fun begins). I love chasing the "why" and "how" behind the tech.

Stagnation — doing the same things without questioning — is my worst nightmare. I don't like labelling myself as "Frontend," "Backend," "Full Stack," or even "Systems Engineer." I just follow the lead of my curiosity and interests which has helped me explore a broad spectrum across frontend development, backend engineering, systems programming, databases, and cloud-native software — always striving to be a generalist with deep curiosity.

Why this blog?

This blog serves as a platform for me to document my learnings, experiments, and thoughts about software engineering. I will also add the books and papers I read and probably my notes on them here.

Feel free to reach out to me through any of the following channels or just ping me here:
